Editorial Principles and Sources

While selecting materials for the Ukropedia library, we were guided by several criteria:

  • Source reliability: articles are drawn primarily from authoritative Ukrainian or international media outlets, and YouTube videos are sourced from reputable channels;
  • Platform restrictions: materials published on Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), and similar social media networks were not considered;
  • Information security: content promoting Russian propaganda narratives was excluded entirely;
  • Expert verification: the credibility of disputed or contested materials was verified in consultation with experts, including Ukrainian historians, cultural figures, and policy analysts.

Since we act not as content creators but as content curators, we do not assume responsibility for the substance of the selected texts; however, we ensure our selection aligns with internationally recognized, scholarly-backed narratives regarding Ukraine, its heritage, and its national identity. Please note that the inclusion of materials is selective rather than exhaustive, and we adhere to a strict policy of ongoing fact-checking, correction, and content updates.
